Welcome to Alberta Veterinary Clinic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, just a mile away from the University of Alabama. Our services include wellness checks, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, surgeries, diagnostics, and more. We have an in-house lab and pharmacy for your convenience. While appointments are preferred, we will try to be accommodating in the event of an urgent or emergency situation.

Ginger Bailey, DVM, Owner

Dr. Bailey, a compassionate veterinarian from Cottondale, Alabama, turned her childhood dream into a reality. With a degree in veterinary technology from Snead State Community College and a Bachelor's in biology from the University of Alabama, she achieved her ultimate goal by earning her veterinary degree from Auburn University.

Raised on a farm, Ginger's love for animals is unwavering. Her rural upbringing nurtured her passion for veterinary medicine, gardening, and cooking. Beyond her professional dedication, she enjoys photography, obstacle course races, and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Ginger's caring nature extends to her three rescued dogs - Frank, Preston, and Goose - and four cats - Deontay, Sherbert, TK, and Loretta. She and her partner share a love for travel, good food, and wine. She's a devoted Alabama football fan and finds serenity in sunsets by the Black Warrior River.

Tim Hammond, DVM, Owner

Dr. Hammond is an Alabama native and a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He came to Alberta Veterinary Clinic as the practice owner in 2003 after practicing as an associate in a mixed large and small animal practice in Mississippi. He is an avid sailor, enjoys playing music and sharing great food and wine with family and friends.

Kim Romain, Vet Assistant

Kim is a seasoned veterinary technician with an impressive 25-year career. Not only is she highly skilled in animal care, but she's also renowned for her exceptional abilities as an animal trainer.

With a special place in her heart for animals, Kim has successfully trained her own dogs, Bleve and Cooper, as extraordinary detection dogs. Cooper, in particular, has even made a name for himself in the world of movies.

Beyond her professional life, Kim's home includes a small mini-farm, reflecting her profound love for all creatures. She frequently fosters kittens and provides a loving home for animals in need of care.

For over two decades, Kim's passion for animal training has positively impacted countless pets. She's dedicated to ensuring the well-being of animals, both in her training efforts and through her veterinary expertise.

With Kim Romain, you'll find a compassionate and experienced professional who truly loves and cares for animals, making a remarkable difference in their lives for over 25 years.

Sidney Pugh, Vet Assistant

Sidney, a compassionate and dedicated member of the Alberta Vet team since November 2020, is on her path to becoming a veterinary assistant. She began as a kennel assistant, providing exceptional care to our patients. Sidney's love for animals extends to her own pets, including two adopted cats, Pepper and Smudge, and her three-legged dog, Gunner.

In her free time, Sidney enjoys painting, listening to music, cooking, and cherishing moments with family and friends. Her kindness and passion for animal welfare shine both at work and in her personal life.

Amber Curington, Vet Assistant & Reception

Amber has been involved in the field of veterinary medicine since 2017. She has a diverse collection of animals, including cattle, horses, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and pigs, which she cares for.

In her free time, Amber enjoys various hobbies and interests, such as hunting, spending quality time with her family, reading books, and enjoying the outdoors. Her love for animals and her passion for veterinary medicine likely play a significant role in her personal and professional life.

Morgan Brashier, Customer Service Representative

Morgan has been an integral part of the Alberta Vet Clinic team 2017, excelling in her role as a receptionist. She's passionate about building relationships with clients to ensure their visits are always comfortable, professional, and friendly. Morgan cherishes Alberta Vet Clinic not only as a workplace but as a second family. When she's not at AVC, she values quality time with family and friends.
 

Outside of work, Morgan's commitment extends to her community, where she's a dedicated member of the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department for nearly a decade. In her personal life, Morgan enjoys a fulfilling marriage and the joy of being a parent. Her household is complete with her beloved pets, including a rescue dog named Abbie, a cat named Nemo, and her loyal companion, Miller.

Tana James, Customer Service Representative

Tana's life is a blend of artistry and compassion. Formerly a ballet instructor, she transitioned into the veterinary world, where she loves being a receptionist and helping clients. Her passion for animals is palpable, and she brings comfort and care to countless furry companions.

Outside of work, Tana cherishes her family: a loving husband, two daughters, and two adorable grandchildren. She's also a proud owner of Romee, a Labradoodle, and Charlee, a Maltipoo, who add warmth to her home.

Tana's lens captures the beauty of life through her photography hobby, and she relishes moments with friends and family. Her life is a harmonious symphony of art, love, and furry companions.
